From the homeland

Hey all! So we are still in the US as of now, but come June 1st we will be headed to New Zealand. We wanted to set up this blog not only so that we would have a documentary about our trip, but so that you could follow us through our journey too! We will be working through a program called Willing Workers on Organic Farms (WWOOF). For this program you pay $40 annual fee and then in turn for your work you get a bed to sleep in and food to eat. We will start out in Christchurch on the south island and then end up on the north island in Auckland. We are pretty sure that we will be working on a winery. Then from there we will contact the other hosts two weeks before we plan on staying with them.We will be posting pictures and telling you about what we are learning from our host families and about their businesses. We are so excited and I hope you enjoy following our trip!
